PURPOSE: This science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) based program will provide a motivating and empowering learning experience designed to enrich learning through hands-on experiments and activities that foster critical thinking and innovation. The leadership institute will expose students to various careers via field trips and mentors, including career readiness, etiquette and job seeking skills.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The D.R.E.M.E. STEM Academy & GE Leadership Institute is a 5-day learning program for students entering 10th thru 12th grades, in the summer 2016. Students will attend learning sessions daily from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Mon.-Fri., July 11th– July 15th. (*not an overnight or weekend experience).
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade
- Science and Math Teacher recommendations
- Must have signed permission from parent or legal guardian
- Required attendance for 5-day program.
